Bob Kitchen comes to System4 with extensive management experience as a Senior Executive in the Chemical and Energy Industries. In the thirteen years prior to joining System4, Bob held the position of Divisional President for three different international chemical companies. As the top divisional executive, Bob has managed extensive organizations in public and private companies as large as $750 million in sales. During his entire 30 year career, Bob has held senior positions with Fortune 500 and mid-size public companies as well as a very successful private equity based start-up.

Recognized for his operational leadership skills, Bob has extensive hands-on experience with business start-ups, turning around underperforming businesses, driving top line growth, and strategic acquisitions and divestitures. He has in-depth expertise in sales and marketing to a broad set of industries. Bob started his working career in 1975 as a process engineer with Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) in the petroleum refining industry in Philadelphia. In 1981, Bob was appointed to a marketing position within ARCO’s Chemical Division, and for the next ten years held increasingly responsible positions in chemical marketing, planning, and business management in Philadelphia and Houston, TX. In 1991, Bob was elected Vice President of Business Management & Marketing for Lyondell Petrochemical Company, a Fortune 100 Company which was a spin-off company from ARCO. In this position he was responsible for all business management and marketing for Lyondell’s $3 Billion per year chemicals business.

 In 1992, Bob was recruited to be the President of Freedom Textile Chemicals Company in Charlotte, NC. In 1996, Bob was elected President of Hilton Davis Company in Cincinnati, Ohio and was also elected to the position of Executive Vice President of the parent company, Freedom Chemical. After helping to engineer the sale of Freedom Chemical Company to BF Goodrich Company in 1998, Bob joined OMNOVA Solutions, and served as the President, Specialty Chemicals until 2005. Bob holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and a Master of Business Administration from Drexel University.
