Phil Kubec, President/CEO
Phil went from being a franchisee to becoming the CEO of one of the largest commercial cleaning franchise companies in the world. This franchise company is estimated to currently have worldwide revenues over $350 million. Having had the experience of being one of the first Master Franchisees, Phil and other members of our operating management understand the excitement and concern of starting your own business. Edward Hammer, CFO
Ed has served as the CFO of System4 and the CEO of Franchise Service Concepts since 2004. Prior to this, Ed was President and CEO of Spirit Software Solutions, a developer of rental management software for the vehicle rental market. Since 2000, Ed has been involved as an investor and strategic advisor to early stage businesses utilizing technology to rapidly grow their businesses. During this time, Ed reviewed over 100 businesses and had been actively involved in approximately 10 different ventures. In addition, Ed was a board advisor to the NEOSA Angel Network in Northern Ohio.
Ed was CEO and co-founder of Spirit Rent-A-Car, a vehicle rental company primarily serving the insurance replacement rental market. He built the company from start-up through organic growth to industry leader with $80M in sales and ultimately negotiated the sale of the company for $80M to AutoNation, Inc. Ed remained as COO of the newly created local market division and ran the national consolidation. He tripled the size of the company with the acquisition of competitors in the first year and opened an additional 135 locations in the second year. Under his direction, sales increased from $80M to $285M, states covered increased from 10 to 40, locations grew from 110 to 435 and employees from 750 to 2,500.
Paul Scales, Director of Master Development
Paul has been the Director of Master Development for System4 since 2006. Prior to this, Paul was the Director of Sales and Development for one of the largest Franchise Cleaning companies in the world. In this role, his responsibilities included managing a 250 person sales force generating more that $4.5 million in annual sales. His 10 years with that company allowed him to gain valuable experience in many facets of the Franchise Commercial Cleaning Business.
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Atlantic University,Paul began his career as an Outside Sales Rep where he was recognized as a Top Ten Salesman three years in a row. In 1999, Paul was promoted to Sales Manager of the number one sales office in the country and earned the honor of Sales Manager of the Year for two consecutive years. In 2002, Paul accepted the role of National Sales Trainer responsible for the training of all sales people nationwide. Later, as Regional Director of the San Francisco Region, he turned around a failing region and made it profitable so that it was then was sold to a Master Owner. After a short role as the Regional Director in New York, Paul assumed management of the Milwaukee, WI region. Again, Paul was able to take an office that was losing money and turn it into a profitable region for the company. Early in 2005, he was promoted to the Director of Sales and Development.
